Her by Harris is a small, independently funded initiative created to offer practical support to women and girls when a little help could make a meaningful difference.
Anyone may tell us about themselves or recommend someone else for consideration. Each submission is reviewed individually and with care.
Submitting a story does not guarantee that support will be provided. Her by Harris has complete discretion over which requests it is able to support, the nature of that support, the amount provided and when it is provided.
Please provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may contact you, the person being recommended, or the references provided to better understand the circumstances and verify relevant information.
If you are recommending someone else, please make sure you have their permission before sharing sensitive personal information about them.
Information submitted will be treated respectfully and used primarily to review the request and administer any support that may be offered.
Where possible, Her by Harris may choose to pay a school, medical provider, landlord, supplier, training provider or other relevant third party directly rather than provide cash.
Support may cover all or only part of a request. Any support offered is voluntary and does not create an entitlement to future or continuing assistance.
Because Her by Harris has limited resources, we will not be able to help every person who contacts us.
Decisions are made privately and at the discretion of Her by Harris. We are not obliged to provide reasons for a decision, and submitting more than once does not guarantee reconsideration or support.
Receiving support does not require anyone to publicly share their story, photograph or identity.
We will not publish a recipient's name, image or personal story without their separate permission.
Her by Harris is intended to provide occasional practical support. It is not an emergency service, medical service, financial adviser, lender or government assistance programme.
