When you share information with Her by Harris, we understand that some of it may be personal. We will treat what you share with care, respect and discretion.
When you use our Tell Us More form, we may collect information including your name, contact details, location, the story or circumstances you choose to share, the type of support being requested and details of the references you provide.
If you are recommending someone else, we may also collect their name and contact information.
Please do not send medical records, identification documents, bank details or other highly sensitive documents through the initial form. If additional information is genuinely needed, we will contact you directly.
We use this information to:
- understand and consider requests for support
- contact the person submitting the request or the person being recommended
- contact references where appropriate
- verify relevant information where necessary
- arrange and administer any support we decide to provide
- maintain appropriate records of support provided
We will not use someone's personal story for marketing or publicity simply because they have asked for or received support.
We ask anyone recommending another person to have permission to share that person's contact details with Her by Harris.
Before requesting additional sensitive information directly from the person being recommended, we may contact them and explain why we are getting in touch.
Information will only be accessed by Her by Harris and, where genuinely necessary, trusted people or service providers helping us review or administer support.
We may share limited information with a relevant third party where necessary to provide or verify support — for example, a school, training provider or other organisation we may pay directly.
We will not sell personal information.
Receiving support from Her by Harris does not require anyone to publicly share their identity, photograph or story.
We will ask for separate permission before using someone's name, image, testimonial or identifiable personal story publicly.
We will keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to review requests, administer support, maintain appropriate records and meet any applicable legal or financial requirements.
You may contact Her by Harris if you would like to ask what personal information we hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate, or request deletion of information where appropriate.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information shared with us. However, no website or electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
